Wow, what an incredible night at our 9th Annual Fish For Jose Backyard Dinner Party! We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the amazing turnout and support we received. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who helped make this event a resounding success.

Mother Nature smiled upon us this year, blessing us with a beautiful day that seamlessly transitioned into a magical evening. Our dedicated volunteers, including rockstars like Ann Marie, Leah, Stephanie, and more, worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect. And boy, did they deliver!

A special shoutout to Ray, Lauren, and our generous donors, including Justine Whalen and the Waterfront Brewery, for providing top-notch libations to keep the party going. With the bar stocked and ready, the atmosphere was electric, and the energy was palpable.

We were also thrilled to honor Kat Johnson with the Fish For Jose Spanish Fly Volunteer Award. Kat’s unwavering dedication and tireless efforts have been instrumental in the success of our events, and we are forever grateful for her commitment.

Our guest speakers, Mike McKinnis and Amanda, captivated us with their moving stories and heartfelt speeches. Their words reminded us of the profound impact the Jose Wejebe Spanish Fly Memorial Foundation has on individuals and families facing life’s toughest challenges.

And let’s not forget the excitement of the live auction, where competitive bidding ensued for unique items generously donated by our supporters. It’s moments like these that remind us of the incredible generosity and camaraderie within our community.

As we reflect on this unforgettable evening, we are filled with hope and optimism for the future. Together, we are making a difference and turning fishing dreams into reality for those in need. Thank you for being a part of our journey, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Here’s to many more years of celebrating the legacy of Jose Wejebe and spreading joy through the power of fishing. Thank you again to our Sponsors Florida Structural Marine, Shimano, Two Conchs, Heritage Drywall, Buzza Foundation, Skinny Water Culture and David Worth! Until next time! Mark your calendars for March 1, 2025!
